Heart Health Part 5 – Detoxification

If you think you may have heart disease, based on new signs or symptoms you’re having, make an appointment to see your doctor. Many forms of heart disease can be prevented, treated and even reversed with detoxification and healthy lifestyle choices. It is believed that detoxification is one of the main keys to obtaining and maintaining optimal health, another strategy for disease prevention, a natural way to cleanse and purify our bodies.

DETOXIFICATION

Detoxification through juicing is a great way to reverse and prevent heart disease. Juicing various types of greens, eating green vegetables are good for your health. They contain a healthy mix of nutrient-filled algae and grasses that offer detoxification, alkalization, mineralization, and antioxidation.

TIPS THAT CAN HELP SAVE YOUR HEART AND KEEP IT TICKING

  • Make sure you read food labels to determine Trans-Fat Facts. Foods high in trans-fat can cause trans fatty acid in the body which raises blood cholesterol levels and increase the risk of breast cancer.
  • Take NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine), it plays a powerful role in the prevention of heart disease.
  • Eat foods high in soluble fiber (apples, beans, oatmeal, pears, and prunes) they will help remove cholesterol from your bloodstream. (25 grams daily)
  • Reduce stress, once a week try to relax and do something that makes you happy & laugh.
  • Get an adequate amount sleep. Getting an insufficient amount of sleep a night (less than 5 hours) increases your heart disease risk by 40 percent and elevates your blood pressure.
    Enjoy the sunshine, at least 20 -30 minutes a day without sunscreen. Great source of vitamin D.
  • Eat a sufficient amount of protein, research shows that eating adequate amounts of protein lower heart disease risk by 25 percent. (beef, chicken and eggs are high in B vitamins that reduce homocysteine in the body which causes narrowing of the arteries.
  • Drink filtered coffee in moderation, it is known to raise blood pressure and arterial stiffness.
  • Stay physical active, this will strengthen the heart (it is a muscle) and need exercise to stay in shape.
  • Incorporate these items into your lifestyle regimen and you can help prevent your heart from dis-ease: Cranberries, green beans, peanuts, almonds, walnuts, spinach, sardines, green tea, CoQ10, Omega 3, chromium, magnesium, psyllium, sterols, turmeric, Vitamin D, garlic, ginger, vitamin E, L-Arginine, melatonin, valerian, hops, and lemon balm.
